Versions of the popular developer tool Zend Framework and its successor Laminas Project can be abused by an attacker to execute remote code on PHP-based websites, if they are running web-based applications that are vulnerable to attack. Impacted is Zend Framework version 3.0.0 and Laminas Project laminas-http before 2.14.2, with an estimated "Several million websites" using the framework and possibly impacted.
Top national security agencies confirmed Tuesday that Russia was likely responsible for a massive hack of U.S. government departments and corporations, rejecting President Donald Trump's claim that China might be to blame. The agencies made clear the Russian operation was "Ongoing" and indicated the hunt for threats was not over.

According to new findings from Check Point Software, healthcare organizations have seen a 45-percent increase in cyberattacks since November, which is more than double other industry sectors, with an average 22-percent increase. Reseachers are raising the alarm for a newly identified operation leveraging a new Remote Access Tool written in Golang to steal crypto-currency from unsuspecting users. Discovered last month, the campaign is believed to have been active since January 2020, consisting of a fully-fledged marketing campaign, custom applications related to crypto-currency, fake social media accounts, websites, and the new RAT, which Intezer calls ElectroRAT. Widely undetected, the Golang backdoor is written from scratch and is designed to target Windows, Linux, and macOS. To lure crypto-currency users into downloading Trojanized apps, the threat actor behind the campaign promoted the tools on crypto-currency and blockchain forums, as well as on social media platforms.
A feature that allows Telegram users to see who's nearby can be misused to pinpoint your exact distance to other users - by spoofing one's latitude and longitude. According to bug-hunter Ahmed Hassan, the "People Nearby" feature could allow an attacker to triangulate the location of unsuspecting Telegram users.
