Celonis, IBM and Red Hat announced a global strategic partnership to help accelerate the adoption of the Celonis Execution Management System and help deliver more flexibility and choice in how customers deploy the technology. Organizations in the financial and insurance sectors were the most targeted by threat actors in 2020, continuing a trend that was first observed roughly five years ago, IBM Security reports. Retail and professional services rounded up the top five most targeted sectors, IBM says.

IBM has patched a critical buffer-overflow error that affects Big Blue's Integration Designer toolset, which helps enterprises create business processes that integrate applications and data. "By sending an overly long string, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash," according to IBM's Monday security advisory.
IBM announced bp has joined the IBM Quantum Network to advance the use of quantum computing in the energy industry.
