Data Intensity announced the launch of Safe-Switch, a life-cycle approach to migrating and managing Oracle applications and database platforms on Microsoft Azure. In response to the Oracle and Microsoft Cloud Interoperability Partnership announcement, Safe-Switch was created to help customers accelerate their consumption of heterogenous cloud adoption, with freedom of choice and seamless integration for Oracle and Microsoft workloads.

Microsoft this week announced the public preview of new functionality to automatically deliver security patches to Windows virtual machines in Azure. Called automatic VM guest patching, the feature is meant to improve the update management of Windows VMs to ensure security compliance through the automatic delivery of necessary patches.

NetApp announced the availability of Azure NetApp Files in the government region data centers on Microsoft Azure. This expansion of Azure NetApp Files, one of the only Azure native, high-performance file storage services, offers the TCO, performance, management, and confidence demanded by critical applications for federal, Department of Defense, and state and local agencies that have strict government security and regulatory compliance requirements.
