American cloud computing services provider Rackspace is investigating a 12-hour-long and still active outage leading to connectivity issues and affecting hosted Microsoft Exchange environments they manage for their customers. "We are investigating an issue that is affecting our Hosted Exchange environments. More details will be posted as they become available," Rackspace said on Friday night, at 02:49 AM EST, when it acknowledged the outage.
Okta, a leading provider of authentication services, has shared a workaround for ongoing issues preventing customers from logging into their accounts using Microsoft Office 365 Single Sign-On. Based on a new incident added to the company's status page, the outage affects users across the United States, EMEA, and Japan. "We have deployed a fix across all cells. After deploying the fix, we are still seeing a number of issues. We are still actively investigating these issues to isolate a fix. We are also actively monitoring the systems," the company said in a recent update.

German copper producer Aurubis has announced that it suffered a cyberattack that forced it to shut down IT systems to prevent the attack's spread. Aurubis is Europe's largest copper producer and the second largest in the world, with 6,900 employees worldwide, and produces one million tonnes of copper cathodes yearly. In an announcement published on their website, Aurubis says they shut down various systems at their locations but that it has not impacted production.
