Companies have not done enough to prevent heightened security risk in light of remote working, according to Lynx Software. Lynx's survey findings of 1,000 working Americans indicates that 69% of respondents are more concerned about cybersecurity risks during COVID-19 than they were before the pandemic - as perimeter-based security is no longer possible so device infrastructure becomes even more vulnerable.
California-based data privacy management company DataGrail this week announced that it raised $30 million in a Series B funding round. DataGrail provides a platform designed to help organizations simplify, automate and scale their privacy programs.
In the paper "Subverting Privacy-Preserving GANs: Hiding Secrets in Sanitized Images," researchers explored whether private data could still be recovered from images that had been sanitized by such deep-learning discriminators as privacy protecting GANs and that had even passed empirical tests. The team found that PP-GAN designs can be subverted to pass privacy checks, while still allowing secret information to be extracted from sanitized images.
The vast majority of IT professionals admit that they manage different versions of the same database, and 74.4% run into issues with their current data warehouses, according to a survey conducted by Propeller Insights. More than half of those surveyed said that hiring and retaining IT professionals to manage their databases is the biggest database-related challenge their organizations face, and more than a third said that they plan to replace their current database solution in the next quarter or two.
