Trend Micro's hosted email security product is experiencing a global brownout. Trend's sparse notification says the company is "Aware of some email delivery delays in Hosted Email Security and Pre-filter products affecting customers in all regions. We are currently addressing the issue and hope to have it resolved as soon as possible."

Cybersecurity firm Trend Micro on Monday announced a new endpoint security solution developed by TXOne Networks for devices in operational technology environments. Launched in 2018 as a joint venture between Trend Micro and industrial networking solutions provider Moxa, TXOne offers solutions for protecting industrial control systems against cyber threats.

Trend Micro announced an OT-native endpoint security solution, provided as part of its total security solution for smart factories. "The ugly truth of ICS endpoint security is that there has not been any security solution specifically designed for the high-availability needs of modernized equipment in the OT environment," said Akihiko Omikawa, executive vice president of IoT security for Trend Micro and chairman of TXOne Networks.

Trend Micro announced a major refresh of the Trend Micro partner program that provide more cloud services resources and rewards partners with additional discounts for enabling organizations to better secure public cloud computing environments. The objective of the revamped program is to make it more profitable for partners that work with customers to deploy Trend Micro cloud security services via our authorized distributors and the AWS Marketplace or the AWS Consulting Partner Private Offer program, through which many cloud-native partners already resell AWS services.

Anti-malware vendor Trend Micro is warning that attackers are attempting to exploit a previously patched vulnerability in its Apex One, Apex One as a Service, and OfficeScan product lines. "This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Trend Micro Apex One. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability," the researchers said.

Fujitsu and Trend Micro have collaborated to focus on the security of private 5G networks. Trend Micro informed customers this week that an update for its InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance patches several potentially serious vulnerabilities, including ones that can be exploited to remotely take control of the appliance. The vulnerabilities were discovered by Wolfgang Ettlinger, a researcher at Austria-based cybersecurity consultancy SEC Consult, and they were reported to Trend Micro in the summer of 2019.
