Multiple CAMC members approached The Register to complain about the outages, which according to their accounts have caused near-total digital disruption at the company that represents 1 million members.
Finnish IT services and enterprise cloud hosting provider Tietoevry has suffered a ransomware attack impacting cloud hosting customers in one of its data centers in Sweden, with the attack reportedly conducted by the Akira ransomware gang. Tietoevry confirmed today that the ransomware attack occurred Friday night into Saturday morning and has impacted only one of their data centers in Sweden.

The notorious Russian hackers known as Sandworm targeted an electrical substation in Ukraine last year, causing a brief power outage in October 2022. "The actor first used OT-level living-off-the-land techniques to likely trip the victim's substation circuit breakers, causing an unplanned power outage that coincided with mass missile strikes on critical infrastructure across Ukraine," the company said.
