Zyxel Networks announced the launch of XGS1250-12 12-Port Web-Managed Multi-Gigabit Switch with 3-Port 10G and 1-Port 10G SFP+. Designed to optimize high-bandwidth applications in the home and office, such as HD multimedia content creation and storage, and high-speed WiFi 6 data and IoT traffic, the versatile XGS1250-12 switch features three multi-Gigabit ports to eliminate network bottlenecks for devices such as 10G NAS or servers, WiFi 6 access points and new 2.5G motherboards. The highest common link speed is automatically and independently negotiated with each connected device.
Key lawmakers said Tuesday they're concerned they've been kept in the dark about what suspected Russian hackers stole from the federal government and they pressed Biden administration officials for more details about the scope of what's known as the SolarWinds hack. The AP reported last month that suspected Russian hackers gained access to email accounts belonging to the Trump administration's acting homeland security secretary, Chad Wolf, and members of his department's cybersecurity staff whose jobs included hunting threats from foreign countries.

Socure announced the company will provide identity verification services for remote onboarding for individuals accessing decentralized IDs as part of the new Microsoft Azure Active Directory verifiable credentials feature in public preview. Once verified, these credentials can be used to prove an identity across different organizations to accelerate onboarding of users and enable a more trustworthy credential recovery experience.
Onfido announced it has been selected by Microsoft to enable fast and secure identity verification and onboarding for its Azure Active Directory verifiable credentials. Once a person's real identity is bound to their digital identity using Onfido's document plus selfie verification, end-users are onboarded to Azure AD and have complete control over their identity from their smartphone, being able to provision its reuse to access additional services.
