Travelers Europe has enhanced its cyber insurance product, Travelers CyberRisk, to provide more coverages and risk management solutions to strengthen customers' overall cybersecurity programs. "Our cyber product has always been more than just an insurance policy, with features such as access to experts who can help our customers navigate the stressful experience of a cyber event," said Davis Kessler, Head of Cyber for Travelers Europe.
For the past two years, a threat group tracked as Evilnum has been observed targeting financial technology companies, mainly ones located in the European Union and the U.K., ESET reports. Golden Chickens components used in Evilnum attacks are from the TerraLoader family.

Threat actors have targeted industrial suppliers in Japan and several European countries in sophisticated attacks that employed various techniques to make malware detection and analysis more difficult, Kaspersky's ICS CERT unit reported on Thursday. The first attacks were spotted in early 2020 and, as of early May, Kaspersky has seen targeted organizations in Japan, Italy, Germany and the UK. Based in Germany, the Fresenius Group includes four independent businesses: Fresenius Medical Care, a leading provider of care to those suffering from kidney failure; Fresenius Helios, Europe's largest private hospital operator; Fresenius Kabi, which supplies pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices; and Fresenius Vamed, which manages healthcare facilities.
In a report Thursday looking at how the pandemic will shape organized crime in the EU, Europol said much of the criminality related to the deadly virus reflects the flexibility of criminal organizations, a trend that was already witnessed during previous financial crises. The impact became evident much more quickly, with a sharp increase in cybercrime in the first weeks of the virus's spread. "New and adapted attacks appeared almost immediately from the onset of the crisis and have been among the most visible types of criminality," Europol said.
