Facebook and Google this week announced the decision to postpone this year's BountyCon bug hunting conference due to health risks. "Out of an abundance of caution, we've decided to postpone BountyCon due to evolving public health risks related to coronavirus. While this was a difficult decision to make, our priority is the health and safety of our attendees," Facebook says.

Leading mobile payments company WorldRemit has appointed seasoned digital executive Scott Eddington to lead the Asia Pacific business as it positions itself to help even more customers make secure, quick and affordable cross border payments. Scott will be responsible for accelerating WorldRemit's mobile payments service in Asia Pacific, which currently allows customers to send from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Interpol announced on Wednesday that it has coordinated an international operation aimed at removing illegally installed cryptocurrency miners from routers located in Southeast Asia. The operation was launched in June 2019 and participants worked over a five-month period to identify compromised routers, alert victims, and install patches that would prevent cybercriminals from controlling the devices.
