Expel for Microsoft alerts and responds to the Microsoft-specific vulnerabilities attackers typically exploit. On Thursday, managed detection and response provider Expel announced the launch of its Expel for Microsoft offering, which automatically analyzes and prioritizes alerts across a suite of Microsoft products including Active Directory, AD Identity Protection, Azure, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365 and Sentinel.
Hart InterCivic and Microsoft announced a partnership to incorporate ElectionGuard software developed by Microsoft into Hart's Verity voting systems. Microsoft Edge now can automatically switch users to a secure HTTPS connection when visiting websites over HTTP after enabling Automatic HTTPS. This new feature is in preview in the Canary and Developer preview channels and is rolling out to select users of Microsoft Edge 92. "Automatic HTTPS switches your connections to websites from HTTP to HTTPS on sites that are highly likely to support the more secure protocol," Microsoft said today.
Microsoft has pushed out a fix for the Microsoft Edge 91 startup bugs and nag screens plaguing users since the new version of the browser was released. Last week, Microsoft Edge 91 was released, and users immediately began reporting that the browser was not opening to their configured startup page, and a 'Use recommended browser settings' nag screen being shown too often.
