ISACA's 2021 report on the cybersecurity workforce sees little adverse effect from the pandemic on cybersecurity during 2020, but notes a continued downward pressure on budgets and a correlation between the number of unfilled positions and staff retention, and the number of cyberattacks experienced. The ISACA State of Cybersecurity 2021, Part 1 is a report on the survey of 3,659 cybersecurity professionals to evaluate workforce efforts, resources and budgets.
To help tech professionals get a stronger grasp on the important technology and how to leverage it within their own organizations, ISACA has released two new resources: Blockchain Framework and Guidance and Blockchain: An Executive View. Blockchain Framework and Guidance offers a comprehensive blockchain reference, including overview, history, information about types and their benefits and features, as well as use cases and a framework for enterprise adoption.
In light of this, incident management programs are more important than ever, and with ISACA's newly launched Security Incident Management Audit Program, audit professionals now have the tools to more effectively evaluate incident management programs and achieve greater assurance. The audit program covers process areas of security incident management programs and clearly outlines process sub-areas-like detection and analysis, forensics, and change management during program implementation as well as control objectives, controls and testing steps in a customizable spreadsheet.
Three ISACA credentials are among the IT industry's top-paying certifications, according to recently released data from the Global Knowledge 2020 IT Skills and Salary Survey. Each of the three ISACA credentials recognized-Certified Information Security Manager, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control and Certified Information Systems Auditor-landed in the top half of Global Knowledge's 2020 list of top-paying certifications.
