GreyNoise Intelligence, a startup focused on helping security teams reduce alert fatigue, has raised nearly $5 million in seed investment to help the company expand its intelligence service that helps teams "Prioritize alerts that matter by quieting ones that don't." Using hundreds of nodes around the internet, the company collects, analyzes and labels mass internet scan and attack activity into a feed of what it calls "Anti-Threat Intelligence".
MariaDB announced a $25 million funding round supporting the company goals to expand the reach and development of its cloud database, MariaDB SkySQL. Led by SmartFin Capital, with participation from existing investors and new investor GP Bullhound, the round brings the total investment in MariaDB to over $125 million. "We feel MariaDB is well-positioned to take a large share of the growing cloud database market as companies continue to push forward into the cloud. We are proud to invest more in MariaDB to continue their exceptional growth."
Breach protection solutions provider Cynet on Monday announced that it has raised $18 million in a Series B+ funding round, which brings the total raised by the company to $38 million. Cynet previously raised $13 million in a Series B funding round in June 2018.

Founded in 2017, the Stamford, Connecticut-based startup continuously analyzes traffic and repository stores connected to an organization's network, to help them identify all network elements storing, processing, and sharing personal data, both internally and externally.
Global investment firm TPG Growth led the $100 million funding that Onfido raised, which will help the global identity verification and authentication firm deliver a new identity standard for easy and secure access to digital services worldwide. Onfido will announce a large new round of funding on April 15 as COVID elevates the importance of confirmed ID for everything from certificates of immunity to telehealth and financial services.
Data access and governance provider Okera this week announced the closing of a $15 million Series B funding round that brings the total raised by the company to $29.6 million. Okera's Active Data Access Platform helps companies comply with regulations and better secure their data access in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
London-based data privacy company Privitar this week announced that it has raised $80 million in a Series C funding round, which brings the total amount raised to date to more than $143 million. Privitar provides a data privacy and anonymisation platform that enables organizations to obtain data-driven insights without putting sensitive employee, customer and partner information at risk.
Bug bounty platform provider Bugcrowd announced on Thursday that it has raised $30 million in a Series D funding round. The funding round, which brings the total raised by the company to more than $80 million, was led by Rally Ventures, with participation from other new and existing investors.
Log management platform Humio this week announced that it closed a $20 million Series B funding round, bringing the total investment raised to date to $32 million. In addition to the new funding round, Humio announced the Unlimited Ingest for the Cloud Plan, which is meant to change the cost of scaling to massive volumes in a SaaS environment, and which provides the same benefits as the current Unlimited Self-hosted Plan.
