In case you don't know Satori, what we do at Satori is streamline data access and security with DataSecOps. I'm not talking about data that's tightly coupled with applications and moved with applications, but even the larger data stores used for analytics, data science and such use cases.

Supply chain attacks have been a concern for cybersecurity experts for many years because the chain reaction triggered by one attack on a single supplier can compromise a network of providers. Supply chain attacks are now expected to multiply by 4 in 2021 compared to last year.

The last year was challenging for every business sector, and none more than healthcare which was under enormous pressure to provide care while changing the way many services are delivered. According to data from a Redgate Software report, the importance of IT in enabling and facilitating that change has been key to success for the healthcare sector, with DevOps adoption, cloud use and cross-platform database development all increasing markedly.

In the company's annual Human Factor 2021 report assessing how the threat landscape morphed over the past year - released on Wednesday - Proofpoint researchers scratched their heads over the reasons for so many users succumbing to malicious CAPTCHAs or clicking on poisoned images in steganography attacks. Since its inception in 2014, the Human Factor report has looked at how people play into risk, including where users are most vulnerable, how attackers target them, and the havoc that can be wreaked when threat actors compromise privileged access to data, systems and other resources.

Credential phishing accounted for two-thirds of malicious emails, and attacks that tricked users into opening attachments were the most successful, enticing one in five people into opening them. Business email compromise attacks have become more complicated, CAPTCHA screens are now being used to aid in the realism of malicious web pages, and steganography had the highest rate of success, with one in three falling victim.

Seventy percent estimate their high-value assets have been compromised in the past 12 months, and fifty percent believe there will be a cyber 9/11 in the next 10 years. The study - underwritten by INTEGRITY Global Security - found that 93 percent of leaders believe it is possible to build zero vulnerability platforms.

The global number of roaming subscribers using 5G services will increase from 4.5 million in 2021 to 210 million in 2026, according to Juniper Research. As the international travel industry recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, it recommends that operators must now focus on increasing 5G roaming support to accommodate the future rise in demand for data when roaming over 5G networks.

McAfee announced MVISION Private Access, an integrated approach to enable granular 'zero trust' access and extend data and threat protection capabilities to private applications hosted across hybrid IT environments. MVISION Private Access disrupts the Zero Trust Network Access market by making data-centricity a core capability of granular "Zero trust" access to private applications, whether in customer data centers, or hosted in private, public or hybrid cloud environments, from any location and device.

NetWitness IoT provides enterprises with security monitoring for disparate IoT and OT devices at scale, by monitoring gateways, servers, and the attached devices for behavioral anomalies, coupled with advanced threat intelligence, to produce focused and actionable alerts. The IoT is driving an explosion of connected devices on company networks, dramatically expanding the surface area that organizations must defend and creating a significant strain on operational security.
