Windows 10 preview builds can now run Linux apps directly on the Windows 10 desktop using the new Windows Subsystem for Linux GUI. WSLg can launch Linux GUI apps by utilizing the Wayland server to display the apps in Windows 10.

Microsoft has released the optional KB5003214 Preview cumulative update for Windows 10 2004, Windows 10 20H2, and Windows 10 21H1. This cumulative update is part of Microsoft's May 2021 monthly "C" update, allowing users to preview the upcoming updates and fixes scheduled for the forthcoming June 2021 Patch Tuesday. It is also the first cumulative update released for Windows 10 21H1, which was released last week.
Microsoft has fixed a known Windows 10 issue that would lead to FLAC encoded music files becoming corrupted when changing their title, artist, or other metadata in File Explorer. "The FLAC property handler assumed that all FLAC files started with the 4 byte start code fLaC and did not take into account the ID3 frame at the beginning of the file," Microsoft explains.
