Point 2 Technology introduced its first 400GBASE-SR4 Active Electrical Cable for use in Distributed Disaggregated Chassis employed in data centers and high-performance computer systems. The new PT-QD20132 employs Point2's C-Tube AEC and is built on a vertically-developed PAM4 SoC in a rugged cable assembly that delivers performance equivalent to active optical fiber cables for rack and mid-tier interconnect.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced it was awarded a $35+ million contract to build a new supercomputer using its end-to-end high performance computing technologies for the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Latest system design will help NCAR process compute and image-intensive data to create digital models of various occurrences, from wildfires and solar storms to hurricanes and droughts, with greater accuracy.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced that it is accelerating mainstream enterprise adoption of high performance computing by offering its HPC solutions as a service through HPE GreenLake. "The massive growth in data, along with Artificial Intelligence and high performance analytics, is driving an increased need for HPC in enterprises of all sizes, from the Fortune 500 to startups," said Peter Ungaro, senior vice president and general manager, HPC and Mission Critical Solutions, at HPE. "We are transforming the market by delivering industry-leading HPC solutions in simplified, pre-configured services that control costs and improve governance, scalability and agility through HPE GreenLake."
Amazon Web Services announced the general availability of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud P4d instances, the next generation of GPU-powered instances delivering 3x faster performance, up to 60% lower cost, and 2.5x more GPU memory for machine learning training and high-performance computing workloads when compared to previous generation P3 instances. Using P4d instances with AWS's Elastic Fabric Adapter and NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA, customers are able to create P4d instances with EC2 UltraClusters capability.

OpenFive announced the launch of a new Die-to-Die interface IP portfolio to serve next-generation chiplet based designs for networking, HPC, and AI markets. OpenFive Die-to-Die IP is intended to enable SoC architects to connect chip logic to optimized XSR/VSR/SR based SerDes while embracing native customer-defined interfaces, or Arm AMBA AXI. OpenFive's die-to-die controller uniquely offers low latency and scalable throughput to address very high-bandwidth requirements in the multi terabits range with a single controller.
