New York-based securities lending platform EquiLend Holdings confirmed in data breach notification letters sent to employees that their data was stolen in a January ransomware attack. Days later, Equilend said that all client-facing services were back online and had yet to find evidence that "Client transaction data was accessed or exfiltrated" during the cyberattack.
Global securities finance tech company EquiLend's systems are now back online after announcing a disruptive ransomware attack nearly two weeks ago. Providing regular updates via a dedicated web page, EquiLend almost completed its full restoration last week, waiting only for its data and analytics solutions to get back up and running.
US securities lender EquiLend has pulled a number of its systems offline after a security "Incident" in which an attacker gained "Unauthorized access". EquiLend first spotted the attack on January 22 and a statement by the Wall Street staple confirmed there was unauthorized access to part of its infrastructure.
New York-based global financial technology firm EquiLend says its operations have been disrupted after some systems were taken offline in a Monday cyberattack."On January 22, 2024, EquiLend identified a technical issue that placed portions of our systems offline," an EquiLend spokesperson told BleepingComputer today.
