Microsoft released Windows Terminal Preview v1.11 yesterday, and comes numerous improvements and features, including the ability to open a Terminal window by dropping a folder on the new tab button. Windows Terminal is one of my favorite features to come to Windows 10 over the past few years as it provides a multi-tabbed console window that you can use for PowerShell, WSL, and Command Prompt consoles.

Microsoft has announced that Window Server 2022, a Long Term Servicing Channel release with ten years of support, is generally available starting today. While the general availability of Windows Server 2022 was just revealed, the new release was made available to customers via the Volume Licensing Service Center and began rolling out to mainstream users almost two weeks ago, as ZDNet reported.

A trick has been discovered that prevents your device from being taken over by vulnerable Windows applications when devices are plugged into your computer. Microsoft is kicking unsupported Windows 11 devices out of the Windows 11 preview program without warning, even though it said that wouldn't happen until the new Windows version was released. To show appreciation to their most loyal fans and supporters, Microsoft exempted Windows Insiders in the 'Dev' channel from these hardware requirements and allowed their unsupported devices to install and test Windows 11 until it was released.

Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 will be released on October 5th, 2021, to Windows 10 users with support devices. Windows 11 is the first major version of Windows released since 2015, when Windows 10 was released.

Microsoft will make it easier for Windows 10 users to check if their computer is compatible with Windows 11 by alerting people via Windows Update. When Windows 11 was first announced, it came with new system requirements that will likely require many Windows 10 users to purchase new hardware to upgrade to the new operating system.

Windows 10 comes with built-in personalization settings to help you customize the desktop and it provides plenty of options by default. Unlike Windows Search, Fluent Search offers accurate results and it lets you jump easily between running apps and browser tabs.

Microsoft announced a new Microsoft 365 Widget in the latest Windows 11 Dev build released for Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels. Windows 11's new widget provides quicker access to frequently opened files and more for all Insiders in the Dev and Beta channels who install Windows 11 Preview build 22000.
