Security News > 2022 > July > Why less can be more in backup and recovery management
Most IT infrastructures evolve over time as the needs of the business and its users change to meet fresh demands and comply with updated organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Because IT staff rarely have the time to orchestrate root and branch transformations, they generally end up layering additional tools and applications on top of, or alongside, the ones they already have to smooth the transition.
There comes a point where that sprawl starts to become a hindrance, particularly when administrators find themselves logging into to multiple tools to perform the most basic of daily tasks.
That's equally as true for backup and recovery as it is for other parts of the IT estate, even before you throw in additional challenges of ensuring data protection compliance across multiple on- and off-prem locations and workloads.
Join our Register webinar on 26th July at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm BST to learn more about the problem when our very own Tim Phillips will be chewing the fat with Ian Blatchford and Freddy Grahn from HPE. Together they will analyze the risk to daily operations posed by inefficient fragmented data protection solutions and showcase the workings of the HPE Backup and Recovery Service.
