Mozilla has fixed a known issue causing the Firefox web browser to freeze when copying text on Windows 11 devices where the Suggested Actions clipboard feature is enabled.
The issue impacts Firefox users running Microsoft's latest OS release, Windows 11, version 22H2, where this new feature is enabled by default.
"Fixed an incompatibility with the new Windows 11 22H2 Suggested Actions feature resulting in hangs when copying text on a web page," according to the Firefox 16.0.3 release notes.
Windows 11 users who cannot immediately update Firefox are advised to disable the Suggested Actions feature to ensure that their web browser won't freeze unexpectedly while copying text.
On Monday, Mozilla also addressed a second issue in Firefox 106.0.3 that triggers startup crashes for users across all Windows versions.
"~260 crashes from 220 installations of Firefox 106.0 and 106.0.1, all on Windows.
