Renewed DDoS attacks have been launched against websites Ukrainian government agencies and banks.
New data wiper malware has been discovered on Ukrainian computers, as well as machines in Latvia and Lithuania.
UK's National Cyber Security Centre and the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency have released details about a new malware targeting network devices, which they attributed to Sandworm, a threat actor that those agencies have previously attributed to the Russian GRU's Main Centre for Special Technologies GTsST. The DDoS attacks.
The targets were the websites of several Ukrainian banks and government agencies, including those of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ukrainian parliament, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
ESET researchers have discovered on Wednesday a new data wiper malware used in Ukraine.
"ESET telemetry shows that it was installed on hundreds of machines in the country. This follows the DDoS attacks against several Ukrainian websites earlier today," the company shared.
