Microsoft has announced that Window Server 2022, a Long Term Servicing Channel release with ten years of support, is generally available starting today.
While the general availability of Windows Server 2022 was just revealed, the new release was made available to customers via the Volume Licensing Service Center and began rolling out to mainstream users almost two weeks ago, as ZDNet reported.
"By upgrading to Windows Server 2022, you can take advantage of multi-layer security with Secured-core server, and secured connectivity," Microsoft said.
You can leverage cloud services with on-premises by connecting with Azure Arc, SMB Compression to improve application file transfer, the Windows Admin Center, scalability improvements, advancements to Windows containers, and more."

To get started with Windows Server 2022, you can download it or try it on Azure via the Windows Server Evaluation Center.
