Citrix Patches Vulnerability in Workspace App for Windows
2021-05-13 14:57

Citrix this week announced that it has patched a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the Citrix Workspace app for Windows.

All supported versions of Citrix Workspace app for Windows are affected by the security hole.

The issue only impacts those Windows systems on which the Workspace application was installed using an account with administrator privileges.

Systems on which a standard Windows user account was used to install the Citrix Workspace app are not affected.

Citrix has addressed the flaw with the release of Citrix Workspace App 2105 and later and Citrix Workspace App 1912 LTSR CU4 and later cumulative updates.

"Citrix has released security updates to address a vulnerability in Citrix Workspace App for Windows. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system," CISA notes.
