Cloud security company Ermetic emerged from stealth mode this week with a platform that automates detection and remediation of identity and access-based risks.
The company's analytics-based platform, which is available immediately, is designed to automatically discover all identities in the cloud, and analyzes policies and permissions in an effort to identify and remediate access risks.
The platform also includes capabilities for policy enforcement, anomaly detection, automatic access policy generation, and benchmark and best practice auditing.
"Monitoring and managing cloud access risk is challenging and becomes even more complex over time as users and applications accumulate permissions that far exceed their technical and business requirements, resulting in vulnerabilities that hackers can actively exploit," said Morag.
He added, "Using analytics and automation, Ermetic eliminates the manual effort and costs associated with determining the precise permissions necessary for each user, service or application in complex environments like AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud."
