Summary

Directory traversal vulnerability in mod.php in Arab Portal 2.1 on Windows allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the file parameter, in conjunction with a show action.

Description

Arab Portal is prone to a local file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to obtain potentially sensitive information and execute arbitrary local scripts in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying computer; other attacks are also possible.Arab Portal 2.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
