Riverbed announced the appointment and promotion of Sekhar Kancherlapalli to Chief Information Officer.

Prior to joining Riverbed as a Chief Architect, Kancherlapalli held senior cloud and enterprise architecture roles at Oracle, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Fidelity.

"As CIO for Riverbed, Sekhar will be is involved in everything from user experience and productivity of our employees, regardless of location; to full visibility across our networks and applications; to ensuring we have the right tools to run all aspects of our business, connect with customers, and drive performance."

Previous Riverbed CIO and Chief Digital Officer, Alpna J. Doshi, has expanded her role as an Operating Partner with Thoma Bravo to full time.
