Security News > 2020 > May > How to password protect your mobile Nextcloud app

If you use the Nextcloud mobile app, you'll want to password protect it to ensure you don't leave your sensitive data open for anyone to see.
Given that I have the mobile app on my Google Pixel 4 linked to my on-site Nextcloud server, I thought it would behoove me to give that app an added layer of protection.
I dove in to find out if the password protect option was available to the mobile app.
If you select Passcode, you'll be asked to type and verify a new passcode for the Nextcloud app.
If you really want to keep Nextcloud protected, your best bet would be to select Passcode and set a different code than you use for the mobile lock screen.
