Total spending on IT infrastructure products (server, enterprise storage, and Ethernet switches) for deployment in cloud environments is expected to total $46.5 billion in 2017 with year-over-year growth of 20.9%, according to a new forecast from IDC. Public cloud datacenters will account for the majority of this spending, 65.3%, growing at the fastest annual rate of 26.2%.
