2024-10-21 CVE-2024-50049 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Check null pointer before dereferencing se [WHAT & HOW] se is null checked previously in the same function, indicating it might be null; therefore, it must be checked when used again. This fixes 1 FORWARD_NULL issue reported by Coverity.

2024-10-21 CVE-2024-50056 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: uvc: Fix ERR_PTR dereference in uvc_v4l2.c Fix potential dereferencing of ERR_PTR() in find_format_by_pix() and uvc_v4l2_enum_format(). Fix the following smatch errors: drivers/usb/gadget/function/uvc_v4l2.c:124 find_format_by_pix() error: 'fmtdesc' dereferencing possible ERR_PTR() drivers/usb/gadget/function/uvc_v4l2.c:392 uvc_v4l2_enum_format() error: 'fmtdesc' dereferencing possible ERR_PTR() Also, fix similar issue in uvc_v4l2_try_format() for potential dereferencing of ERR_PTR().

2024-10-21 CVE-2024-50060 Unspecified vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: check if we need to reschedule during overflow flush In terms of normal application usage, this list will always be empty. And if an application does overflow a bit, it'll have a few entries. However, nothing obviously prevents syzbot from running a test case that generates a ton of overflow entries, and then flushing them can take quite a while. Check for needing to reschedule while flushing, and drop our locks and do so if necessary.

2024-10-21 CVE-2024-50003 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix system hang while resume with TBT monitor [Why] Connected with a Thunderbolt monitor and do the suspend and the system may hang while resume. The TBT monitor HPD will be triggered during the resume procedure and call the drm_client_modeset_probe() while struct drm_connector connector->dev->master is NULL. It will mess up the pipe topology after resume. [How] Skip the TBT monitor HPD during the resume procedure because we currently will probe the connectors after resume by default. 2024-10-21 CVE-2024-50006 Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix i_data_sem unlock order in ext4_ind_migrate() Fuzzing reports a possible deadlock in jbd2_log_wait_commit. This issue is triggered when an EXT4_IOC_MIGRATE ioctl is set to require synchronous updates because the file descriptor is opened with O_SYNC. This can lead to the jbd2_journal_stop() function calling jbd2_might_wait_for_commit(), potentially causing a deadlock if the EXT4_IOC_MIGRATE call races with a write(2) system call. This problem only arises when CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING is enabled.
