2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35978 | Memory Leak vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix memory leak in hci_req_sync_complete() In 'hci_req_sync_complete()', always free the previous sync request state before assigning reference to a new one. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35982 | Infinite Loop vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: Avoid infinite loop trying to resize local TT If the MTU of one of an attached interface becomes too small to transmit the local translation table then it must be resized to fit inside all fragments (when enabled) or a single packet. But if the MTU becomes too low to transmit even the header + the VLAN specific part then the resizing of the local TT will never succeed. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35984 | NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: fix NULL function pointer dereference Baruch reported an OOPS when using the designware controller as target only. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35990 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma: xilinx_dpdma: Fix locking There are several places where either chan->lock or chan->vchan.lock was not held. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35997 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: i2c-hid: remove I2C_HID_READ_PENDING flag to prevent lock-up The flag I2C_HID_READ_PENDING is used to serialize I2C operations. However, this is not necessary, because I2C core already has its own locking for that. More importantly, this flag can cause a lock-up: if the flag is set in i2c_hid_xfer() and an interrupt happens, the interrupt handler (i2c_hid_irq) will check this flag and return immediately without doing anything, then the interrupt handler will be invoked again in an infinite loop. Since interrupt handler is an RT task, it takes over the CPU and the flag-clearing task never gets scheduled, thus we have a lock-up. Delete this unnecessary flag. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-36008 | NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: check for NULL idev in ip_route_use_hint() syzbot was able to trigger a NULL deref in fib_validate_source() in an old tree [1]. It appears the bug exists in latest trees. All calls to __in_dev_get_rcu() must be checked for a NULL result. 2024-05-03 | CVE-2022-48670 | Use After Free vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: peci: cpu: Fix use-after-free in adev_release() When auxiliary_device_add() returns an error, auxiliary_device_uninit() is called, which causes refcount for device to be decremented and .release callback will be triggered. Because adev_release() re-calls auxiliary_device_uninit(), it will cause use-after-free: [ 1269.455172] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 14267 at lib/refcount.c:28 refcount_warn_saturate+0x110/0x15 [ 1269.464007] refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. | 7.8 |
2024-05-03 | CVE-2022-48672 | Off-by-one Error vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: fdt: fix off-by-one error in unflatten_dt_nodes() Commit 78c44d910d3e ("drivers/of: Fix depth when unflattening devicetree") forgot to fix up the depth check in the loop body in unflatten_dt_nodes() which makes it possible to overflow the nps[] buffer... 2024-05-03 | CVE-2022-48673 | Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: Fix possible access to freed memory in link clear After modifying the QP to the Error state, all RX WR would be completed with WC in IB_WC_WR_FLUSH_ERR status. | 5.5 |
2024-05-03 | CVE-2022-48674 | Use After Free vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix pcluster use-after-free on UP platforms During stress testing with CONFIG_SMP disabled, KASAN reports as below: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in __mutex_lock+0xe5/0xc30 Read of size 8 at addr ffff8881094223f8 by task stress/7789 CPU: 0 PID: 7789 Comm: stress Not tainted 6.0.0-rc1-00002-g0d53d2e882f9 #3 Hardware name: Red Hat KVM, BIOS 0.5.1 01/01/2011 Call Trace: <TASK> .. __mutex_lock+0xe5/0xc30 .. z_erofs_do_read_page+0x8ce/0x1560 .. z_erofs_readahead+0x31c/0x580 .. Since UP platforms are quite rare now, such path becomes unnecessary. Let's drop such specific-designed path directly instead. | 7.8 |
