2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-56670 | NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: u_serial: Fix the issue that gs_start_io crashed due to accessing null pointer Considering that in some extreme cases, when u_serial driver is accessed by multiple threads, Thread A is executing the open operation and calling the gs_open, Thread B is executing the disconnect operation and calling the gserial_disconnect function,The port->port_usb pointer will be set to NULL. E.g. Thread A Thread B gs_open() gadget_unbind_driver() gs_start_io() composite_disconnect() gs_start_rx() gserial_disconnect() ... | 5.5 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53165 | Use After Free vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sh: intc: Fix use-after-free bug in register_intc_controller() In the error handling for this function, d is freed without ever removing it from intc_list which would lead to a use after free. To fix this, let's only add it to the list after everything has succeeded. | 7.8 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53173 | Use After Free vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4.0: Fix a use-after-free problem in the asynchronous open() Yang Erkun reports that when two threads are opening files at the same time, and are forced to abort before a reply is seen, then the call to nfs_release_seqid() in nfs4_opendata_free() can result in a use-after-free of the pointer to the defunct rpc task of the other thread. The fix is to ensure that if the RPC call is aborted before the call to nfs_wait_on_sequence() is complete, then we must call nfs_release_seqid() in nfs4_open_release() before the rpc_task is freed. | 7.8 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53179 | Use After Free vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix use-after-free of signing key Customers have reported use-after-free in @ses->auth_key.response with SMB2.1 + sign mounts which occurs due to following race: task A task B cifs_mount() dfs_mount_share() get_session() cifs_mount_get_session() cifs_send_recv() cifs_get_smb_ses() compound_send_recv() cifs_setup_session() smb2_setup_request() kfree_sensitive() smb2_calc_signature() crypto_shash_setkey() *UAF* Fix this by ensuring that we have a valid @ses->auth_key.response by checking whether @ses->ses_status is SES_GOOD or SES_EXITING with @ses->ses_lock held. | 7.8 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53180 | NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: Add sanity NULL check for the default mmap fault handler A driver might allow the mmap access before initializing its runtime->dma_area properly. | 5.5 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53187 | Integer Overflow or Wraparound vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: check for overflows in io_pin_pages WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 5834 at io_uring/memmap.c:144 io_pin_pages+0x149/0x180 io_uring/memmap.c:144 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 5834 Comm: syz-executor825 Not tainted 6.12.0-next-20241118-syzkaller #0 Call Trace: <TASK> __io_uaddr_map+0xfb/0x2d0 io_uring/memmap.c:183 io_rings_map io_uring/io_uring.c:2611 [inline] io_allocate_scq_urings+0x1c0/0x650 io_uring/io_uring.c:3470 io_uring_create+0x5b5/0xc00 io_uring/io_uring.c:3692 io_uring_setup io_uring/io_uring.c:3781 [inline] ... </TASK> io_pin_pages()'s uaddr parameter came directly from the user and can be garbage. | 5.5 |
2024-12-27 | CVE-2024-53210 | Memory Leak vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/iucv: MSG_PEEK causes memory leak in iucv_sock_destruct() Passing MSG_PEEK flag to skb_recv_datagram() increments skb refcount (skb->users) and iucv_sock_recvmsg() does not decrement skb refcount at exit. This results in skb memory leak in skb_queue_purge() and WARN_ON in iucv_sock_destruct() during socket close. | 5.5 |
2024-12-24 | CVE-2024-53146 | Integer Overflow or Wraparound vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent a potential integer overflow If the tag length is >= U32_MAX - 3 then the "length + 4" addition can result in an integer overflow. | 5.5 |
2024-12-24 | CVE-2024-53150 | Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix out of bounds reads when finding clock sources The current USB-audio driver code doesn't check bLength of each descriptor at traversing for clock descriptors. | 7.1 |
