2025-02-27 | CVE-2025-21776 | Unspecified vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: hub: Ignore non-compliant devices with too many configs or interfaces Robert Morris created a test program which can cause usb_hub_to_struct_hub() to dereference a NULL or inappropriate pointer: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xcccccccccccccccc: 0000 [#1] SMP DEBUG_PAGEALLOC PTI CPU: 7 UID: 0 PID: 117 Comm: kworker/7:1 Not tainted 6.13.0-rc3-00017-gf44d154d6e3d #14 Hardware name: FreeBSD BHYVE/BHYVE, BIOS 14.0 10/17/2021 Workqueue: usb_hub_wq hub_event RIP: 0010:usb_hub_adjust_deviceremovable+0x78/0x110 ... Call Trace: <TASK> ? die_addr+0x31/0x80 ? exc_general_protection+0x1b4/0x3c0 ? asm_exc_general_protection+0x26/0x30 ? usb_hub_adjust_deviceremovable+0x78/0x110 hub_probe+0x7c7/0xab0 usb_probe_interface+0x14b/0x350 really_probe+0xd0/0x2d0 ? __pfx___device_attach_driver+0x10/0x10 __driver_probe_device+0x6e/0x110 driver_probe_device+0x1a/0x90 __device_attach_driver+0x7e/0xc0 bus_for_each_drv+0x7f/0xd0 __device_attach+0xaa/0x1a0 bus_probe_device+0x8b/0xa0 device_add+0x62e/0x810 usb_set_configuration+0x65d/0x990 usb_generic_driver_probe+0x4b/0x70 usb_probe_device+0x36/0xd0 The cause of this error is that the device has two interfaces, and the hub driver binds to interface 1 instead of interface 0, which is where usb_hub_to_struct_hub() looks. We can prevent the problem from occurring by refusing to accept hub devices that violate the USB spec by having more than one configuration or interface. | 5.5 |
2025-02-27 | CVE-2025-21780 | Unspecified vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: avoid buffer overflow attach in smu_sys_set_pp_table() It malicious user provides a small pptable through sysfs and then a bigger pptable, it may cause buffer overflow attack in function smu_sys_set_pp_table(). | 7.8 |
2025-02-27 | CVE-2025-21782 | Unspecified vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: orangefs: fix a oob in orangefs_debug_write I got a syzbot report: slab-out-of-bounds Read in orangefs_debug_write... | 7.1 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49307 | NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: synclink_gt: Fix null-pointer-dereference in slgt_clean() When the driver fails at alloc_hdlcdev(), and then we remove the driver module, we will get the following splat: [ 25.065966] general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000182: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI [ 25.066914] KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000c10-0x0000000000000c17] [ 25.069262] RIP: 0010:detach_hdlc_protocol+0x2a/0x3e0 [ 25.077709] Call Trace: [ 25.077924] <TASK> [ 25.078108] unregister_hdlc_device+0x16/0x30 [ 25.078481] slgt_cleanup+0x157/0x9f0 [synclink_gt] Fix this by checking whether the 'info->netdev' is a null pointer first. | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49309 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: staging: rtl8723bs: Fix deadlock in rtw_surveydone_event_callback() There is a deadlock in rtw_surveydone_event_callback(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | _set_timer() rtw_surveydone_event_callback()| mod_timer() spin_lock_bh() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49311 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: staging: rtl8192bs: Fix deadlock in rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle() There is a deadlock in rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | _set_timer() rtw_joinbss_event_prehandle()| mod_timer() spin_lock_bh() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49312 | Memory Leak vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8712: fix a potential memory leak in r871xu_drv_init() In r871xu_drv_init(), if r8712_init_drv_sw() fails, then the memory allocated by r8712_alloc_io_queue() in r8712_usb_dvobj_init() is not properly released as there is no action will be performed by r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit(). To properly release it, we should call r8712_free_io_queue() in r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit(). Besides, in r871xu_dev_remove(), r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() will be called by r871x_dev_unload() under condition `padapter->bup` and r8712_free_io_queue() is called by r8712_free_drv_sw(). However, r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() does not rely on `padapter->bup` and calling r8712_free_io_queue() in r8712_free_drv_sw() is negative for better understading the code. So I move r8712_usb_dvobj_deinit() into r871xu_dev_remove(), and remove r8712_free_io_queue() from r8712_free_drv_sw(). | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49315 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: staging: rtl8192e: Fix deadlock in rtllib_beacons_stop() There is a deadlock in rtllib_beacons_stop(), which is shown below: (Thread 1) | (Thread 2) | rtllib_send_beacon() rtllib_beacons_stop() | mod_timer() spin_lock_irqsave() //(1) | (wait a time) ... | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49316 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4: Don't hold the layoutget locks across multiple RPC calls When doing layoutget as part of the open() compound, we have to be careful to release the layout locks before we can call any further RPC calls, such as setattr(). | 5.5 |
2025-02-26 | CVE-2022-49317 | Infinite Loop vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: avoid infinite loop to flush node pages xfstests/generic/475 can give EIO all the time which give an infinite loop to flush node page like below. | 5.5 |
