DATE CVE VULNERABILITY TITLE RISK
2024-08-21 CVE-2023-52901 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: xhci: Check endpoint is valid before dereferencing it When the host controller is not responding, all URBs queued to all endpoints need to be killed.

2024-08-21 CVE-2023-52904 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix possible NULL pointer dereference in snd_usb_pcm_has_fixed_rate() The subs function argument may be NULL, so do not use it before the NULL check.

2024-08-21 CVE-2023-52908 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix potential NULL dereference Fix potential NULL dereference, in the case when "man", the resource manager might be NULL, when/if we print debug information.

2024-08-21 CVE-2023-52909 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix handling of cached open files in nfsd4_open codepath Commit fb70bf124b05 ("NFSD: Instantiate a struct file when creating a regular NFSv4 file") added the ability to cache an open fd over a compound.

2024-08-21 CVE-2024-43874 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ccp - Fix null pointer dereference in __sev_snp_shutdown_locked Fix a null pointer dereference induced by DEBUG_TEST_DRIVER_REMOVE. Return from __sev_snp_shutdown_locked() if the psp_device or the sev_device structs are not initialized.

2024-08-17 CVE-2024-43818 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: amd: Adjust error handling in case of absent codec device acpi_get_first_physical_node() can return NULL in several cases (no such device, ACPI table error, reference count drop to 0, etc). Existing check just emit error message, but doesn't perform return. Then this NULL pointer is passed to devm_acpi_dev_add_driver_gpios() where it is dereferenced. Adjust this error handling by adding error code return. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

2024-08-17 CVE-2024-43819 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kvm: s390: Reject memory region operations for ucontrol VMs This change rejects the KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION and KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION2 ioctls when called on a ucontrol VM. This is necessary since ucontrol VMs have kvm->arch.gmap set to 0 and would thus result in a null pointer dereference further in. Memory management needs to be performed in userspace and using the ioctls KVM_S390_UCAS_MAP and KVM_S390_UCAS_UNMAP. Also improve s390 specific documentation for KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION and KVM_SET_USER_MEMORY_REGION2. [[email protected]: commit message spelling fix, subject prefix fix]

2024-08-17 CVE-2024-43821 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix a possible null pointer dereference In function lpfc_xcvr_data_show, the memory allocation with kmalloc might fail, thereby making rdp_context a null pointer.

2024-08-17 CVE-2024-43822 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Linux Kernel
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoc: PCM6240: Return directly after a failed devm_kzalloc() in pcmdevice_i2c_probe() The value “-ENOMEM” was assigned to the local variable “ret” in one if branch after a devm_kzalloc() call failed at the beginning. This error code will trigger then a pcmdevice_remove() call with a passed null pointer so that an undesirable dereference will be performed. Thus return the appropriate error code directly.
