2024-05-21 | CVE-2023-52757 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix potential deadlock when releasing mids All release_mid() callers seem to hold a reference of @mid so there is no need to call kref_put(&mid->refcount, __release_mid) under @server->mid_lock spinlock. | 7.8 |
2024-05-21 | CVE-2021-47349 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mwifiex: bring down link before deleting interface We can deadlock when rmmod'ing the driver or going through firmware reset, because the cfg80211_unregister_wdev() has to bring down the link for us, ... | 5.5 |
2024-05-21 | CVE-2021-47359 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix soft lockup during fsstress Below traces are observed during fsstress and system got hung. [ 130.698396] watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#6 stuck for 26s! | 5.5 |
2024-05-21 | CVE-2021-47382 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/qeth: fix deadlock during failing recovery Commit 0b9902c1fcc5 ("s390/qeth: fix deadlock during recovery") removed taking discipline_mutex inside qeth_do_reset(), fixing potential deadlocks. | 4.7 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35953 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Fix deadlock in context_xa ivpu_device->context_xa is locked both in kernel thread and IRQ context. It requires XA_FLAGS_LOCK_IRQ flag to be passed during initialization otherwise the lock could be acquired from a thread and interrupted by an IRQ that locks it for the second time causing the deadlock. This deadlock was reported by lockdep and observed in internal tests. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35968 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: Fix pdsc_check_pci_health function to use work thread When the driver notices fw_status == 0xff it tries to perform a PCI reset on itself via pci_reset_function() in the context of the driver's health thread. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35990 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma: xilinx_dpdma: Fix locking There are several places where either chan->lock or chan->vchan.lock was not held. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35997 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: i2c-hid: remove I2C_HID_READ_PENDING flag to prevent lock-up The flag I2C_HID_READ_PENDING is used to serialize I2C operations. However, this is not necessary, because I2C core already has its own locking for that. More importantly, this flag can cause a lock-up: if the flag is set in i2c_hid_xfer() and an interrupt happens, the interrupt handler (i2c_hid_irq) will check this flag and return immediately without doing anything, then the interrupt handler will be invoked again in an infinite loop. Since interrupt handler is an RT task, it takes over the CPU and the flag-clearing task never gets scheduled, thus we have a lock-up. Delete this unnecessary flag. | 5.5 |
2024-05-20 | CVE-2024-35998 | Improper Locking vulnerability in Linux Kernel In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb3: fix lock ordering potential deadlock in cifs_sync_mid_result Coverity spotted that the cifs_sync_mid_result function could deadlock "Thread deadlock (ORDER_REVERSAL) lock_order: Calling spin_lock acquires lock TCP_Server_Info.srv_lock while holding lock TCP_Server_Info.mid_lock" Addresses-Coverity: 1590401 ("Thread deadlock (ORDER_REVERSAL)") | 5.5 |
2024-05-19 | CVE-2024-35895 | Improper Locking vulnerability in multiple products In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Prevent lock inversion deadlock in map delete elem syzkaller started using corpuses where a BPF tracing program deletes elements from a sockmap/sockhash map. | 5.5 |
