Summary

PHP through 7.1.11 enables potential SSRF in applications that accept an fsockopen or pfsockopen hostname argument with an expectation that the port number is constrained. Because a :port syntax is recognized, fsockopen will use the port number that is specified in the hostname argument, instead of the port number in the second argument of the function.

CVE-2016-7478: Zend/zend_exceptions.c in PHP allows remote attackers
to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted Exception
object in serialized data, a related issue to CVE-2015-8876.

CVE-2016-7479: During the unserialization process, resizing the
'properties' hash table of a serialized object may lead to
use-after-free. A remote attacker may exploit this bug to gain the
ability of arbitrary code execution. Even though the property table
issue only affects PHP 7 this change also prevents a wide range of
    other __wakeup() based attacks.

CVE-2017-7272: The fsockopen() function will use the port number which
is defined in hostname instead of the port number passed to the second
parameter of the function. This misbehavior may introduce another
attack vector for an already known application vulnerability (e.g.
    Server Side Request Forgery).

For Debian 7 'Wheezy', these problems have been fixed in version
    5.4.45-0+deb7u8.

We recommend that you upgrade your php5 packages.

descriptionAccording to the versions of the php packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities : - In PHP versions 7.1.x below 7.1.33, 7.2.x below 7.2.24 and 7.3.x below 7.3.11 in certain configurations of FPM setup it is possible to cause FPM module to write past allocated buffers into the space reserved for FCGI protocol data, thus opening the possibility of remote code execution.(CVE-2019-11043) - The finish_nested_data function in ext/standard/var_unserializer.re in PHP before 5.6.31, 7.0.x before 7.0.21, and 7.1.x before 7.1.7 is prone to a buffer over-read while unserializing untrusted data. Exploitation of this issue can have an unspecified impact on the integrity of PHP.(CVE-2017-12933) - ext/standard/var_unserializer.c in PHP before 5.6.25 and 7.x before 7.0.10 mishandles certain invalid objects, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted serialized data that leads to a (1) __destruct call or (2) magic method call.(CVE-2016-7124) - The match function in pcre_exec.c in PCRE before 8.37 mishandles the /(?:((abcd))|(((?:(?:(?:(?:abc|(?:abcdef))))b)abcdefghi )abc)|((*ACCEPT)))/ pattern and related patterns involving (*ACCEPT), which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory or cause a denial of service (partially initialized memory and application crash) via a crafted regular expression, as demonstrated by a JavaScript RegExp object encountered by Konqueror, aka ZDI-CAN-2547.(CVE-2015-8382) - An issue was discovered in PHP before 5.6.33, 7.0.x before 7.0.27, 7.1.x before 7.1.13, and 7.2.x before 7.2.1. There is Reflected XSS on the PHAR 404 error page via the URI of a request for a .phar file.(CVE-2018-5712) - exif_process_IFD_in_MAKERNOTE in ext/exif/exif.c in PHP before 5.6.37, 7.0.x before 7.0.31, 7.1.x before 7.1.20, and 7.2.x before 7.2.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) via a crafted JPEG file.(CVE-2018-14851) - The SplObjectStorage unserialize implementation in ext/spl/spl_observer.c in PHP before 7.0.12 does not verify that a key is an object, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (uninitialized memory access) via crafted serialized data.(CVE-2016-7480) - ext/standard/var_unserializer.re in PHP before 5.6.26 mishandles object-deserialization failures, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via an unserialize call that references a partially constructed object.(CVE-2016-7411) - The odbc_bindcols function in ext/odbc/php_odbc.c in PHP before 5.6.12 mishandles driver behavior for SQL_WVARCHAR columns, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) in opportunistic circumstances by leveraging use of the odbc_fetch_array function to access a certain type of Microsoft SQL Server table.(CVE-2015-8879) - In PHP before 5.6.32, 7.x before 7.0.25, and 7.1.x before 7.1.11, an error in the date extension

descriptionAccording to the versions of the php packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities : - An issue was discovered in Oniguruma 6.x before 6.9.4_rc2. In the function fetch_interval_quantifier (formerly known as fetch_range_quantifier) in regparse.c, PFETCH is called without checking PEND. This leads to a heap-based buffer over-read.(CVE-2019-19204) - Oniguruma before 6.9.3 allows Stack Exhaustion in regcomp.c because of recursion in regparse.c.(CVE-2019-16163) - Oniguruma through 6.9.3, as used in PHP 7.3.x and other products, has a heap-based buffer over-read in str_lower_case_match in regexec.c.(CVE-2019-19246) - PHP through 7.1.11 enables potential SSRF in applications that accept an fsockopen or pfsockopen hostname argument with an expectation that the port number is constrained. Because a :port syntax is recognized, fsockopen will use the port number that is specified in the hostname argument, instead of the port number in the second argument of the function.(CVE-2017-7272) - In PHP versions 7.2.x below 7.2.26, 7.3.x below 7.3.13 and 7.4.0, PHP DirectoryIterator class accepts filenames with embedded \0 byte and treats them as terminating at that byte. This could lead to security vulnerabilities, e.g. in applications checking paths that the code is allowed to access.(CVE-2019-11045) - In PHP versions 7.2.x below 7.2.26, 7.3.x below 7.3.13 and 7.4.0, PHP bcmath extension functions on some systems, including Windows, can be tricked into reading beyond the allocated space by supplying it with string containing characters that are identified as numeric by the OS but aren

descriptionFor historical reasons, fsockopen() accepts the port and hostname separately: fsockopen('127.0.0.1', 80) However, with the introdcution of stream transports in PHP 4.3, it became possible to include the port in the hostname specifier: fsockopen('127.0.0.1:80') Or more formally: fsockopen('tcp://127.0.0.1:80') Confusing results when these two forms are combined, however. fsockopen('127.0.0.1:80', 443) results in fsockopen() attempting to connect to '127.0.0.1:80:443' which any reasonable stack would consider invalid. Unfortunately, PHP parses the address looking for the first colon (with special handling for IPv6, don't worry) and calls atoi() from there. atoi() in turn, simply stops parsing at the first non-numeric character and returns the value so far. The end result is that the explicitly supplied port is treated as ignored garbage, rather than producing an error. This diff replaces atoi() with strtol() and inspects the stop character. If additional "garbage" of any kind is found, it fails and returns an error.
