HIGH Availability impact
NONE Summary
Mozilla Firefox before 26.0, Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.2, Thunderbird before 24.2, and SeaMonkey before 2.23 do not recognize a user's removal of trust from an EV X.509 certificate, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers in opportunistic circumstances via a valid certificate that is unacceptable to the user.
Vulnerable Configurations
Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE)
Common Attack Pattern Enumeration and Classification (CAPEC)
- Signature Spoofing by Key Recreation An attacker obtains an authoritative or reputable signer's private signature key by exploiting a cryptographic weakness in the signature algorithm or pseudorandom number generation and then uses this key to forge signatures from the original signer to mislead a victim into performing actions that benefit the attacker.

NASL family Gentoo Local Security Checks NASL id GENTOO_GLSA-201504-01.NASL description The remote host is affected by the vulnerability described in GLSA-201504-01 (Mozilla Products: Multiple vulnerabilities) Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey. Please review the CVE identifiers referenced below for details. Impact : A remote attacker could entice a user to view a specially crafted web page or email, possibly resulting in execution of arbitrary code or a Denial of Service condition. Furthermore, a remote attacker may be able to perform Man-in-the-Middle attacks, obtain sensitive information, spoof the address bar, conduct clickjacking attacks, bypass security restrictions and protection mechanisms, or have other unspecified impact. Workaround : There are no known workarounds at this time. last seen 2020-06-01 modified 2020-06-02 plugin id 82632 published 2015-04-08 reporter This script is Copyright (C) 2015-2019 and is owned by Tenable, Inc. or an Affiliate thereof. source https://www.tenable.com/plugins/nessus/82632 title GLSA-201504-01 : Mozilla Products: Multiple vulnerabilities code # # (C) Tenable Network Security, Inc. # # The descriptive text and package checks in this plugin were # extracted from Gentoo Linux Security Advisory GLSA 201504-01. # # The advisory text is Copyright (C) 2001-2019 Gentoo Foundation, Inc. # and licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution / Share Alike # license.
