Both Register.com and Network Solutions are suffering from an ongoing DNS outage that prevents access to websites, VPNs, and other services.
This outage started early this morning with customers suddenly finding that their websites or business services were no longer accessible via their hostnames.
While neither company has stated that their DNS outages are linked, both Register.com and Network Solutions are owned by the same company, Newfold Digital.
One customer posted on Reddit that Register.com support stated that the outage would not be resolved for 24 - 48 hours.
Due to this outage, customers have been forced to switch their domain's DNS servers to other DNS service providers who are happily offering their services to affected customers.
BleepingComputer has reached out to Newfold Digital with questions regarding this outage but has not heard back at this time.
