Zoom lifts 40-minute time limit for Thanksgiving meetings
2020-11-24 15:24

Zoom is lifting the 40-minute time limit on Thanksgiving Zoom meetings so family members and friends can virtually spend the holiday together.

As health officials advise people to not take part in large Thanksgiving family gatherings, especially with older family members, many are planning on hosting virtual dinners via virtual meetings.

To help keep family and friends connected and safe at the same time, Zoom is removing the 40-minute time limit on meetings between midnight on November 26th through 6 a.m. ET November 27th. "We here at Zoom believe it is important to pause, give thanks, and recognize who and what we are grateful for. This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for Zoomers, our amazing customers that have inspired and delighted us in 2020,".

"To show our appreciation, we will be lifting the 40-minute time limit starting at midnight on November 26th through 6 a.m. ET November 27th for meetings globally. We hope you are able to connect with family and friends to share a meal, raise a glass, and swap stories," Zoom announced in emails sent today.

Simply use Zoom as normal without the worry that your virtual Thanksgiving will be interrupted.
