Some of these extortion attacks, there's about six or seven different vectors that are commonly used as part of these attacks.
Being able to absorb the big bandwidth attacks leaves you to be able to put your resources into more specific, more targeted types of attacks on your end.
One of the biggest parts of a DDoS attack is simply limiting your attack surface.
