Palo Alto Networks on Wednesday unveiled a new firewall powered by machine learning, a firewall for Kubernetes, and an IoT security solution.
Palo Alto Networks has announced a new next-generation firewall that uses machine learning to help organizations detect and block threats.
The network security company also announced IoT Security, a new IoT security solution that is offered as a subscription to customers of the new ML-powered NGFW. IoT Security leverages technology obtained by Palo Alto Networks through the acquisition of IoT security company Zingbox.
"We have enhanced Zingbox's technology with Palo Alto Networks patented App-ID technology, allowing it to automatically discover new IoT devices, assess risks and convert the learnings into policies that secure IoT," said Anand Oswal, SVP and GM at Palo Alto Networks.
"Applying the rich prevention capabilities of Palo Alto Networks, IoT Security can be paired with the full range of our other cloud-delivered security subscriptions to stop all known and unknown threats targeting IoT and OT devices."
