Summary

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in 500page.jsp in JIRA Enterprise Edition before 3.12.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, which is not properly handled when generating error messages, as demonstrated by input originally sent in the URI to secure/CreateIssue. Description

Atlassian JIRA is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.This issue affects JIRA 3.6.4, 3.6.5, 3.10.2, 3.11, and 3.12; other versions may also be vulnerable.
