Google has released Chrome 91 today, May 25th, 2021, to the Stable desktop channel, and it includes security improvements, the ability to copy and paste files into web pages, and new developer features. Chrome 91 fixes 32 security vulnerabilities, with eight being marked as 'High' severity.

VMware has rolled out patches to address a critical security vulnerability in vCenter Server that could be leveraged by an adversary to execute arbitrary code on the server. VMware vCenter Server is a server management utility that's used to control virtual machines, ESXi hosts, and other dependent components from a single centralized location.

Microsoft has released the optional KB5003214 Preview cumulative update for Windows 10 2004, Windows 10 20H2, and Windows 10 21H1. This cumulative update is part of Microsoft's May 2021 monthly "C" update, allowing users to preview the upcoming updates and fixes scheduled for the forthcoming June 2021 Patch Tuesday. It is also the first cumulative update released for Windows 10 21H1, which was released last week.

A new attack group called Agrius is launching damaging wiper attacks against Israeli targets, which researchers said are hiding behind ransomware to make their state-sponsored activities appear financially motivated. Researchers added that the wiper attacks were conducted using a secondary malware called "Deadwood", which Sentinel Labs said has "Unconfirmed links to an Iranian threat group."
